Travelling into the city and / or the conference venue

The conference will take place in the historical building of the Rectorate of the University of Porto, located in Praça Gomes Teixeira, in the city centre.

​

Standing on the old Monte do Olival grove in Gomes Teixeira Square, the building that now houses the Rectorate of the University of Porto was built on the foundations of the College of Orphaned Boys and the Church of Our Lady of Grace (XVII century).

Currently, besides the university's central administration, the Rectorate building hosts the Old Library Fund and the Natural History and Science Museum. The U.Porto Shop and the Art Gallery (Galeria dos Leões) are also recent additions to the premises.

From the airport to the city centre:

Take the metro to Trindade, in the “Baixa” or downtown area. This is close to the City Hall. Alternatively, take a taxi from the airport (an average fare of 30 euros);

From the railway station (Porto Campanhã):

The station is close to the city centre. Take the metro to Trindade or other central destinations.
