Castelo Branco is an inland city and municipality in Central Portugal.

Escola Superior de Educação is right in the centre of the city and within walking distance from the bus terminal and train station.

​

Travelling into the city and /or the colloquium  venue

from Lisbon or Lisbon Airport (LIS)

There are three alternatives: by bus, train or car

1. By car is the fastest way, taking approximately 2 hours on the A1 and A23 motorways. It is also the most expensive way to travel.

2. By bus or by train are cheaper methods to travel.

• ​By bus

  • There are regular buses from Lisbon approximately every 2 hours. The bus ride takes between 2 hours and 20 minutes and 2 hours and 40 minutes depending on the travel route. 

  • Buses depart from the Sete Rios Bus Terminal in Lisbon that can be reached from the Underground station Sete Rios.

• By train

  • The most convenient trains are intercity trains, that take about 2 hours and 30 to 40 minutes.
