1. Creating your own account

To sign up for your own free account if you do not already have an account, visit zoom.us/signup and enter your email address.

You will receive an email from Zoom (no-reply@zoom.us). In this email, click Activate Account.

Download the (free) Zoom client for meetings here.
2. Signing into your Zoom account on the web
You can login to your Zoom account on the web at any time, at zoom.us/signin. Once you’re logged in, use the panel on the left side to navigate the Zoom web portal. You can update your profile, schedule a meeting, edit your settings, and more.
3. Updating your profile

You can update your profile by adding a profile picture, set your time zone, update your password and more.

To access your Zoom profile, sign in to the Zoom web portal and click Profile.

As a participant in a session, we ask that you do the following:

Make sure your username is recognisable. Please do not use nicknames or abbreviations.

During keynote presentations and poster presentations:

Mute yourself while you are watching the presentations (the host can help you if needed).

Turn your video on (if your internet connection is stable enough) so that presenters can see their audience.

Comment on and ask questions using the chat function

Use the hand ‘clap’ icon in reactions when a presentation is over. After the questions, unmute your microphone and clap. Then mute again,

Use the ‘Raise hands’ function if you want to ask a question after a keynote or poster presentation. When the chair/moderator calls on you, unmute yourself and ask your question. Or, if you prefer you can type your question into the Chat function and the chair will ask your question, if there is time.

During workshops:

Unmute yourself while you are participating (the host can help you if needed).

Turn your video on (if your internet connection is stable enough) so that presenters and other participants can see you.

Engage, participate and collaborate with other delegates as much as possible in the workshops in order to get the most out of the 'workshop experience'.
